Spring, come quick!

It may have snowed today and it's going to snow again on Thursday, but that isn't stopping me from dreaming of spring.  I took a trip to West Elm today and was inspired to put a little spring in the house.  I bought a couple pillow shams and then just used what I had to lighten and brighten the guest room.

Here's what the winter version looked like.  I think I'll keep the springier room year round.

Hoping my hubby will be setting up my iron headboard from my old bedroom soon. Then the room will be complete, until I feel like changing it again :)

My Weekly Routine

At my weekly trip to HomeGoods last week, I picked up some goodies to spruce up the bathroom.  I got this rug for $9.99, total steal! 

I think it definitely livens up the bathroom.

And then I also got this canvas of the cutest little birdie, well I guess he's not so little, more of chubber.  My grandmother's not going to be happy when she comes over and sees this.  She has some superstition that anything with birds on it in the house is bad luck.  But i just couldn't say no to this guy.

He fits in perfectly.

I'd love to take another trip to HG right now, but I'll save it for Tuesday or Wednesday to brighten up my work week.
