Festive Bedroom

Before Christmas (one week away!) I wanted to share a few more of my holiday spaces.  This year, I brought in a little Christmas to our bedroom.  I brought some red in that we're lacking in the living room.

I cut out a page from Better Homes magazine that has holiday words in different fonts with a red background.  I plopped it in to a frame that was already on our bureau.  I also added some garland.

I really love going in there and still feeling the Christmas spirit.  And that is a new chandelier that I mentioned in this post.  Loving it!

Thanks for checking out my festive bedroom!

Silver and Gold and Burlap too

This year I stayed away from red in my living room Christmas decor and went for silver, gold and natural tones (especially burlap, my fav).  I am liking this little woodland creature vignette I created at our bar.  I took the vase of branches I had on my Halloween mantle and added some sparkley owls from HomeGoods.  I put a little pine branch in a wine decanter and added my gold dove and bronze squirrel that I got on sale after Christmas last year at West Elm.

And I am loving this cute little pillow I just got in the mail from Pottery Barn.  It has burlap trim : )  Excuse its wrinkliness, it had a long journey.

Here are some more shots of the living room decked out this year.  Sorry about the stinky pictures.

O I love Christmas!  The living room is going to look so empty without that big fat goofy tree next month!

Merry Mantle Redo

I wasn't feeling my original mantle, so I did some redisgning.  After finding two great pieces at a local thrift store on Saturday, I took everything down from the mantle and started over.  First, I used some garland that I previously had outside and added some pinecones to it.  Then I added the two new prints, the mercury candle holders, some fresh white flowers, and our stockings (which I think I want to trade in for burlap ones when I find some on sale).

I am really loving these Christmas prints.  They were $6 each and they are in perfect condition.

I am really liking this new mantle scape.  It will be hear to stay 'til Christmas.
